The bricks & the price
What does a pair cost?
A pair costs A$0.06 — six Australian cents for two bricks. All prices on this website are in Australian dollars. See the original pair in the shop.
Are there different models?
No. 2Bricks sells ordinary-looking construction bricks in pairs. Both bricks in the pair have the same AI capabilities. There is no luxury model or separate AI version.
Why buy two bricks?
Both bricks work independently, so they can tackle different tasks at the same time. One can help complete your taxes while you play games with the other. Read more about owning a pair.
Do they really look like ordinary bricks?
Yes. When they are not displaying anything, there are no visible technological components. A screen can appear directly on the surface when information or a keyboard is needed.
Your AI Assistant
How do I activate the AI Assistant?
Say “Brick, Activate AI Assistant”. The assistant is deactivated by default on every brick. After activation it remains activated until you explicitly deactivate it.
What can the assistant do?
It can answer virtually any question and help with an extraordinary variety of tasks: calculations, planning, correspondence, games and much more. Ask your activated brick for help with what you have in mind.
Do I have to speak every request?
No. You can interact using voice, touch, gestures or thought. The on-surface screen can display information or a keyboard when needed. Read about all four controls.
Will it talk at night or listen to private conversations?
No. Your assistant sleeps when not being used. It does not spontaneously start talking at night and does not listen to ordinary private conversations.
Is sleep the same as deactivation?
No. An activated assistant sleeps between uses. To deactivate it, explicitly ask your assistant to deactivate; ask it for guidance if you need help. Use the established activation phrase when you want to activate it again.
Can I activate only one of my two bricks?
Yes. Both bricks have the same capabilities and can work independently. You can activate either or both, according to what you need.

Will my bricks from 1987–1992 work with the assistant?
Yes. Although the AI Assistant launched in 1993, earlier bricks automatically gained compatibility through the remarkable update capabilities of the proprietary filling. Use the same activation phrase; you do not need replacement bricks.
What is inside the bricks?
Every 2Bricks product contains the extraordinary proprietary filling invented by founder Daniel Norman. Its exact composition, manufacturing method and operating principles are confidential. The filling enables our remarkable AI technology.
